The Brownstone
Republican Club was formed
in 1994 to promote political
and community activism in Carroll
Gardens, Brooklyn Heights,
Red Hook and Cobble Hill. In
recent years, it has grown
to include DUMBO, Concord Village,
Gowanus and part of Park Slope.
These eight neighborhoods
form Brooklyn’s 52nd
Assembly District.
The founders of the Brownstone
Club drafted a mission statement
that sums up their goals:
The mission of the Brownstone
Republican Club is to develop
and actively support Republican
candidates for elective office,
to provide a forum for discussion
of political issues and other
topics of city, state and federal
interest and to encourage fellowship
among politically like-minded
individuals.
The Brownstone Republican
Club meets every month in the
Community Room at 101 Clark
Street, just off Cadman Plaza
West. The meeting site is accessible
by all major bus and subway
lines.
We're a friendly group, ranging
in age from 18 to 80. Our members
include students, teachers,
lawyers, retired judges, entrepreneurs,
city, state and federal workers,
retirees, homemakers, bankers,
and people from all walks of
life.
